WHy IS THERE NEVER ANY HANDSET STOCK?!!!!!!!!VODACOM!!!!!!

Ok, i've been trying to upgrade for a year now. Everytime I see a phone I want, its never in stock, yet it gets advertised in the stupid specials pamphlet.
I went in again yesterday looking for a 6110 nav, and they never had stock, no one apparently has any stock! WHAT!!!! THEN WHY ADVERTISE IT?!!!!!
Just for fun I pointed to a couple other phones E90, E61i, HTC and was told again....NO STOCK!!!!! WTF
THEN FOR THE BEST PART.....
THEY TELL ME:
TAKE A D900 and get a free photoframe?!!!!!

I'm about to chew my hand off in frustration, the only time they eventually get stock of the phone I want, is like a year down the line, when its just about obsolete! WTF????!!!

What happens is they advertise the phones expecting the suppliers to supply.... if they dont supply this is what happens...

Hi Dudleygb" im sorry to here you have had a frustrating experience i dont know why the store you keep going to has no stock of the handsets other than the Nokia 6110 maybe you should try another store or Vodacom upgrades depatment on 082 1959. HTC is always available well i dont have problems with stock for HTC or the E90, the problem with the Nokia 6110 nav is not with Vodacom but Nokia Finland as the short supply of components are making a nightmare for supply and demand and as far as i know the phones are comming in in drips and drabs try 082 1959 you may find what your looking for.

hey bundy, thanx for the reply. I called upgrades and they also dont have it. I am now going by process of elimination, phoning store for store until i find one.

just by way if interest, the shop that never has stock is canal walk in Cape town

Port to MTN, they usually have stock.

Experienced the same thing there, they were going to phone when stock arrived (over 2 months), phoned upgrade dept. sorted.

Where you from? The Bigger Vodashops should have them, Metro Vodaworld and Menlyn, Eastgate etc.

The backorders are growing and when the phones come in 90% are only covering backorders, free stock is hard to come by but you can get one.

Theres a little free stock available it wont be there long.

yeah i'm in CT. Ag screw it, I may just go for the Blackbery 8310, also got a GPS, but no HSDPA, but EDGE and u got unlimited browsing, email and navigation, sounds like a good deal, but i am a little worried about leaving nokia
