No. Saying stop bitching or leave is hardly mature. Every day some tit comes along and says what amounts to "shuttup or leave". Every day people are being slaughtered and raped for no reason. And if you think that it is the norm in the world, you're sadly mistaken. Crime is becoming a norm here, and as a Cop I KNOW how difficult it is to do any ****ing thing about it. You got the message a little wrong, i am tired of hearing and reading and listening to people moan and complain and bitch about all the k@k in the country , and going on about how good some other place is , so what i am saying is if its so good ,Why stay here? , if people arent going to be part of the solution , then apathy, inaction and running on negative is pointless and derogatory, and as a PROUD South African, i find it offensive, and am entitled to say as much.
As to being a cop well done, i dated one for a while and yes i agree with you that your hands are tied to much to petty policies that prohibit you from doing your jobs.
And crime exists in all countries, the only diffs in many other countries only the big ones make the news , and smaller ones are reported only once the criminal has been caught, so the view on crime is altered by the state and press.
