Why NOBODY should be using the 'thumbs up' emoji in 2022 - and the 10 symbols only 'old people' use that have Gen Z rolling their eyes

  • People aged 35 and over are more likely to use the symbol but it is alienating
  • Other emojis only used by 'old people' include 'crying laughing' and the heart

I already posted it some time ago, but the last time I was between 20-year-olds, a guy I have never met called me an old man (and not in a good way, that guy's arse was shining bright). Should have given him the

Actually, I ignored him, so I guess that hurt more.

Yes, this is the Daily Mail, but I guess they have a point, I do observe social media and I have seen people take issue with these gestures.

I suppose every Generation hates the one that came before it,
Hippies smoked and did weed, and didn't work,
Gen Z has this nonsense about thumbs up being offensive.

Yeah these are not millenials, millenials are hitting their 40s now. It's the new new, uhm, new? generation of softies and wokies where everything and anything hurt their feeilings.
You're right, I meant that younger generation that is made of tissue

I'm technically a millenial :cautious:

You know what all the founders of reddit should say to this 24 year old right?

get off my grass!

It's not people on Reddit who got upset, though. It's the Daily Mail who somehow thought it worth writing a whole freaking article about a comment one person made on a Reddit thread. Honestly, how bored are they at that scrap of a magazine?
