<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">

Yes, there's something totally whack about thier bandwidth management that makes any kinda p2p activity deadly to all other protocols. I can't surf the net with bittorrent going for instance.

It's been mentioned by I think more than one member of these forums that Scamtek upstream traffic is significantly Fux0r3d.

So, you want to download a linux 3 CD release the moment it's hot of the press ? , sorry, with Spintech, you may as well get it posted to you, it'll take less time.

Or if your with Hellkom, max. out your ADSL account in the first week of a new month - whoop - no more international bandwidth for 3 weeks !

bb_matt, interesting that you can't do www with torrent(S) going. I've been doing just that for the last 2 days. Obviously with the torrent hogging (I use ABC, torrent set to highest priority) the line I have to wait for pages a bit, but it's not as if www just flat-out dies on me!
Tried ftp (filezilla, to ftp.is.*)- is fine too.. *shrug* YMMV.

well since the speed fix I had a bit torrent coming down (Azureus v2.1.04) and no real probs with WWW... but if I try FTP that's a joke...

If in need I simply turn the BitTorrent off... I mean.. there are lotsa of hours where I am not at my machine.

myWireless 128, 64, 48, 16 - depends on its mood.

I noticed that my browsing has improved a lot in the last two days. Before i had to stop my torrents to do serious browsing (as in less than 2 mins for a page to load). At the moment i am pulling 17K international torrents and still browsing fine :)

Maybe it because i had a power outage in my area and none of the offices on my tower have re-connected because it's the weekend...
