A good ANC election outcome and policy reform would lead to a stronger rand, based on improved confidence, and it could quite likely reach R12 to the dollar in 2019

In my view, there is no such thing as a good ANC election outcome ... well .... if they lose perhaps and the DA takes the reigns. Not all that happy with the DA at the moment, but at least better than the ANC.

This article gives me the impression the guy that wrote this has got his arse really far up the ANC's arsehole.

I'm pretty sure the rand would weaken if the ANC wins next year - It happened in the 2016 Municipal elections.

Interesting that they should attempt to analyse rand direction within the context of political prospects, SOE boards, cabinet reshuffles, while completely omitting the dilution of property rights in the form of a changes to the South African constitution in 2019.

The only good election outcome for this country would be one that ANC / EFF get less votes and the DA / FF+ and COPE get more. I think peaceful elections with an increase in the support of the non-EFF opposition, would be enough to improve the view of SA in the international community.

All I really hope for this 2019 election is that the DA can get enough support to remove the chance of further changes to the constitution and maybe the Gauteng province can fall into the DA's hands.

I really don't get the DA hatred.

On a scale of utterly **** to well beyond average the ANC vs DA is night and day stuff and there should be no objection at all to the DA even if you hate their guts.

It's not about choosing a party any more, it's about fixing a country.
