Why Xiaomi media players are the best way to watch your favourite shows

Don't know about them being the "best" way, to watch your favorite content, but they are decent, devices, and at the price point, my preferance. A Shield TV Pro 2019, they are not.

Happy watching.

The Apple TV at R2.5k is the best
Your link is R2,900?

That's a good 100%+ more that what we're talking about ; though it lacks an Ethernet port and AV1 which are both essential to some people. Netflix stream all their AV1 content in 10 bit or higher - and they try go for the highest frame rates possible. Unsure what happens if you have device that can't do AV1 though?

It also doesn't support Netflix interactive :( - and there's some pretty cool things for kids. My girls love Barbie Epic Road Trip - but there's Cat Burglar and the Bear Grylls series is pretty cool too.

But I think as an entry level machine, that Apple TV is pretty decent and finally matches the Mi S with HDR10+

It was on special. You reply to an hour-and-a-half-old post........ Also it can software decode AV1 just fine.
Netflix interactive is dead.... https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/ne...eems that this, mobile and cloud gaming lineup.
For the past seven years, Netflix has been gradually releasing a collection of interactive, choose-your-own-story games within the Netflix UI, known as Interactive Specials. According to a recent report, we may not see many more of these, if any, in the future.

Even on special, it is still 2 x the amount for a inferior product.

As for Netflix interactive being dead, I think it is still more alive than your ability to think original thoughts.

The Apple Acolyte - it was on Special an hour and a half later, it is not - awesome mate.

Netflix inter-active - on your outdated second hand overpriced hardware, you cannot appreciate it, but you can "dis" it - EISH!!

Ah - so when I watch Netflix, I'll still the low bandwidth, 10-bit and high frame rate?

Netflix interactive is dead
But my old TV still has the interactive library available and my kids can still use it?
So nothing is removed? They're not adding - but the existing is still available?

The Apple TV thing as one feature that I think is unbeatable.

You can use your iPhone to find the f__King remote.

If the Xiaomi boxes we use ever pack up, I probably will bite the bullet and get an Apple TV.

Yep!!!

The Netflix App, will not, give you the enhanced AV1 stream, as it does not detect the required hardware, decoder. So Apple Accolyte, is again dis'ing something he has no experience of.

28 shows?
Netflix began rolling out this feature in 2017, and to date, 28 of them have been released, with the majority targeting family-oriented audiences.

Can do so with my Shield TV Pro 2019. But have yet to be careless/never minded, enough to lose it, and it works as advertised.
