Why you still get spam calls even though you put your number on the DNC list

People just take details of the DNC list and send out SMSes and Emails from servers outside of SA and then when someone complains they say "it wasn't me".

Fine with me, as long as it's not calls. Incoming SMSs and emails can be ignored for later perusal and put into spam folders, incoming calls want your attention immediately, pisses me off.

I did the registration, and the SLA is 1-6 weeks for it to be active. Companies therefore only have to validate their own base every six weeks to remain within the SLA and not on a daily basis. This reduces the cost significantly.
