And still Zuma wont admit that he is single handed destroying our economy, and possibly sending us into recession and junk status.

It's all about SAA for the moment. This is going to break one way or another in the next two weeks.

You don't need research analysts to tell you what's going on.

The paradox here is that, as the analyst points out, Zuma needs to get rid of Gordhan to entrench his system of patronage and tenderpreneurship so that he can win the 2017 ANC elective conference, however, his current crass attempts to do so might just give his opponents within the party sufficient ammunition to finally galvanize the fence-sitters and get rid of him. So it's all a bit of a tight-rope act for him, and we can only hope he falls off sooner rather than later.

Well, Gordhan said a huge SAA statement is imminent.

Cape Town – Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan said a “good announcement” regarding South African Airways (SAA) can be expected “shortly” on Wednesday evening.

The minister, who heads up the state-owned company, is withholding a R5bn guarantee as a carrot for the ailing national carrier to reform.

Because SAA is refusing to budge, it is preventing itself from filing year-long overdue annual financial statements as this guarantee is required.

The main reason SAA is refusing to budge is that Gordhan is seeking a new board, and allegedly the dumping of President Jacob Zuma’s pal, SAA chairperson Dudu Myeni.

I still blame all the rest of the party members that are allowing this to happen.

These are people with absolutely no morals, sitting back and letting this imbecile do as he pleases, they are the ones allowing this and at more fault than him.

If we had accountable and honest politicians, this would not be happening in the first place.

Zuma did not re-instate Gordhan in an act of desperation. He was presented as the better of 2 mistakes to the gullible public.
This "public defiance" show will run a while and keep the public duped into thinking somebody in government has their interests at heart.

Its not even about morals - as people will always find ways to justify their means.

Its about endgame - what are they actually trying to achieve, so cloudy we can't really see what they want to do.
