We tested WiFi 4, 5, and 6 — here are the results

MyBroadband tested various Wi-Fi standards to determine what makes the biggest difference in real-world performance. It found that bandwidth capability makes a much bigger difference than Wi-Fi generation.

We set out to test the real-world performance differences between Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6, also known as n, ac and ax, under identical circumstances.

Erm. I'm going to assume the connection column is the setting for the AP? Also, same room should've been the first test.

I stood near one of the towers with my kids , i can confirm it does not cause covid or cancer

I upgraded to a WIFI6 router a few months ago, I had a VERY old free router from an ISP (maybe 6 years old).
The features alone of the new router really surprised me. I'm no power user and I have no idea if the original router was just crap but upgrading to a better router was definitely worth it.

Often what you get with a new router is a better CPU, but tech that has started going mainstream like MU-MIMO are also factors.

The major advantages come with multi device access.

Wifi 6/7 means almost nothing.

having 6Ghz channels available is the next beneficial update.

Look for Tri-band routers
