Here is a question for the clever guys.
I have a Lenovo laptop running adsl over wifi through a Dlink 2750U router.
I installed a smart tv android dongle on my Sony HDTV via HDMI cable connection.
The TV now links through the Dlink to the internet and I can google etc.
How can I now link the laptop to the Dlink so that the TV can see the laptop and vice versa -
so that the laptop can see the TV.
Currently my laptop does not show the tv dongle and cannot discover it when I search for devices.
The tv dongle also shows only the Dlink and no other wifi devices.
The objective is to stream video from the laptop to the TV via wifi.
Is this a router setting problem and/or must I set up some sort of network?
How do you set up a laptop to broadcast wifi?
PLease help

Easiest way to stream over wifi - assuming you are running windows on your laptop and your android dongle supports dlna.

You can do it with windows media player, here is a howto

Or you can install something like serviio

ok im confused, but, All that you need to do, is to let your router broadcast wifi, then you search for the router through your laptop and connect your tv to your router. The router is the central point.

enable DLNA on your tv.
