WiFi problem with Iphone 6

I upgraded at Vodacom last week from a Samsung G3 mini to an iPhone 6.
???? Got home and had difficulty connecting to my Telkomsa network in certain areas in the house, which I have never experienced with the Samsung.
My iPad mini and my Acer laptop both connect to WiFi at a particular place in my house but the new iPhone doesn't.
In fact all my grandchildren connect all over house as well.
I doubled my Telkom speed and Gigs, so it can't be that.
Now I am STUCK with a supposedly great phone which doesn't connect automatically to WiFi.:confused::confused::confused:
UPDATE: I just tried to post this message and the WiFi had cut out on my laptop, causing me the inability to post. I had to then move to another room, until I was right next to the modem. I don't want to have to spend my life sitting in this corner, especially as nobody else that I have talked to has had this issue...

It's just a great phone because apple has competent marketing.

Make sure you router uses WPA2 wifi protection.
Also, it might sound stupid but for some reason some Apple devices doesn't like a space in the SSID. I encountered it for the first time on a Apple TV and also on a iphone later on. I don't remember which iphone it was.

So your laptop doesn't work there....but it's the iPhone's fault.

No it's the router not putting out a strong enough signal.

And no upping your gigs and speed has nothing to do with your local connection.

I had router issues. Changed it to WPA2 and changed my router from Billion (Telkom issued one) to D-Link and that did the trick.
