I've been using my Senao 2-Port Switch Wireless Router + Print Server for a couple years now and all of a sudden i cant connect to it or even detect it with my laptop/computer...

I can't access it either, normally i would connect it to my laptop via ethernet and just put 10.0.0.2 into a browser to access it but now nothing happens when i do.

Is it dead??

thanks!

Are you sure once you reset it, it defaults to 10.0.0.2 ?!?

Confirm by checking the manual, connect to it via a fly lead for best options.

ok, let me explain everything (as u'll probably be able to see some stupid mistake im making):

iv got an ethernet cable leading from my PC directly to the wireless router. It shows limited or no connectivity on the pc and is now giving me an autoconfig. ip of 169.254.173.140

its set to automatically give me an ip with dhcp enabled.

thanks again guys

Possibly reset back to the default IP address 192.168.0.1 ??
Try and put your PC in the same IP addr range and ping the 192.168.0.1 if not this range try 192.168.1.1
Give us the Senao model no ?

iv done what you've suggested and i can succesfully ping 192.168.0.1 and it shows that the LAN is connected now

but now what? when i put that into a browser nothing happens....

What browser are you using ? Have you removed any proxy settings ? I prefer Firefox

At a command prompt:> telnet 192.168.0.1 80
ENTER

Did you get any info back or was the screen blank I also try GET /
Maybe the Senao is listenening on another http address ie 192.168.0.1:8080

Hmm something not right, I do not think its necessary to throw it away, Windows firewall off.
Sorry mate not sure what else to suggest, maybe check up on the models manual, some devices
want the remote PC to have be setup on a specific IP address ie 192.168.10.10 and then it will connect
