Wifi Strength poor. What are my options ?

I currently use an old model TP link w8960n, but the wifi reception in my lounge (probably about 10m away) is rather poor. My PS3 only gets about 22% signal strength.

What are my options ?

Am considering getting one of these instead :

Or should i keep the router I have ab get a signal booster/repeater ?

Check if you're on a congested channel.

I have a D-link 2750u which is by no means the ultimate router but it gives me excellent wifi throughout my whole house, I game with 30 ping and my PC is on the floor above about 3 rooms over (maybe 15m)

If you have an Android phone, install Wifi Analyser, and see what is going on on the channels in your house.

10m is very close. Hotspots from mobile phones generally give 2-3 times better coverage than this, and are powered off a small battery.

yep on the router, under the wifi settings, the channel option should be there
Check first using wifi analyzer as mentioned above see whats other SSID on the same channel or close to say example you currently on channel 6 maybe move to 11 etc.

Look in the routers settings page, there is a way to change the channel to a different Ghz AND depending on the router there might be a signal boosting option.Check for that first before buying a new router.

Also, consider a LAN cable, the ps3 sucks when it comes to wifi.
