should be cheaper than the current next-gen trend... around $40-50 i guess... development costs arent as steep as the MS and Sony power houses.

lol... more titles? where? E3 had MGS4 and FFXIII sequels... other than Assasin Creed all PS3 titles are going to be out on the X360... but... but wait! The X360 is going to have a few exciting exclusives too!

for now i am settling with the X360 coz its out and readily available, Wii will pop in next with new game types. PS3... well... i wonder if the human organ market is going to blossom due to its price tag. :p

besides, by the time the PS3 is out the X360 will cost $100 less too. :)

useless : Whilst the PS3 and XBOX360 will indeed be more powerfull than the Wii, it is apparently not by much

I reckon they'll split the SKU's as well, it's all the rage these days :p

$200 = Console + Wiimote + Nunchuk
$250 = Console + 2x Wiimote + 2x Nunchuk + Wii Sport + Virtual Console controller

My evil plan:
1x USB laplink cable,
1x Wii Dev Kit,
1x 360 peripheral Dev kit.
Mix with 2 parts o' de con'sol and you get:
Wii as a Controller for the 360 = The best controller for FPS combined with the best Console for FPS = instant PS3 death ;)

The Wii is slightly more powerful than the current GameCube as per Ninty's press releases.

@LilDeath - you are forgiven. :p

If they hit that low pricepoint of $199 then they stand to relive the glory days of the SNES when they ruled the roost battling with Sega.

I reckon that Sony and the PS3 is a distant third as no parent is going to cough up that amount for a console when he sees a Wii selling for much sells come Christmas.

I think it will be between the XBox and Wii for dominance and the PS3 will be third this time around.

the Wii has also the biggest trumpet in their cards with downloadable content which includes classics from the SNES days too... hope they are Wii-controller compatible! :D

They didn't show it in the presentation, but it was on display on the show floor.

I was all for "just a Wii", but after I saw the Gears of War presentation, I'm dead keen on a 360 as well. GoW and Forza 2 at PS3 launch is going to hurt Sony big time. Yay!

SOZ, but PS3 is a swear word. Please refrain from using it. ;)
Only Wii and XBox 360 mentions allowed :D

Now if MS would just launch the ****ing thing here, and Ninty would just launch damnit, we could all get on with it! Can't convicne the wife of anything unless I can get her to play a bit herself first . . .

from MS's part it seems there will be an official launch by the end of the year... though you CAN buy one locally from respected retailers...
