Wii U firmware update fails on CellC

3 attempts to download the required update failed at 99% in a consistent matter. It seems to be downloading a corrupt file, which causes the console to throw an error after it finishes.

When I put in a Vodacom sim, without changing any additional settings on the router or host PC it worked.

You can gladly have the problems that come with it...

My current set up consists of a normal wifi router Mega 105Wr
A 3G modem K4505-Z
Host PC, sharing the 3G connection.

I just downloaded the update for nintendo-land, it said it downloaded successfully, but when I restarted the game to apply the update, it gave the "Wii U" has encountered error" error.

This means that the download has to start all over again, and the updates are 500meg plus.

I have a feeling that it's at the installation of the update where the problems lies, so I'm gonna download it again with CellC, disconnect and do the actual update with the Vodacom sim.

What cmd command can I use to record what's happening so that I can find the root of the problem.

Well my ingenious workaround did not work. Did not record either since I could not remember how to run a trace.

After the update installation failed again(about 25% into installation), even after putting in a Vodacom sim after the download completed;
I re-downloaded the update with my Vodacom sim and it installed fine.

Now the question is where do I find another Wii U owner with a CellC sim to confirm it and will it ever get fixed and by whom, Nintendo or CellC?

Sorry I didn't say it straight in my first post, it would save your efforts. In such case technician intervention is required, nothing you can do. You don't need another U owner to prove a case, it is rather evident.

CellC still sucks for the Wii U. Recent case is Rayman Challenge App, It downloads the game fully but the installation ends up failing due to corrupt content. Tried it twice already, it's just CellC that has this problem.
