I'm aware that most of you here use WiiMC so I need a little help. It keeps crashing after the loading screen and returning to the system menu. I'm on 4.1e and running HBC 1.1.0 on cIOS 58. Yes I already ran the boot.elf from the HackMii Installer. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I strongly suspect that it might have been the iOS58 Installer and that I should rather install iOS58 directly from the wad file even though HBC indicates that it's using iOS58.

Ok i'm going to download the WiiMC New Install package setup and run it to launch directly from HBC instead of trying to install the WiiMC channel using the WiiMC Channel Installer.

Do you wait the 60 seconds so that hbc can try and initialize the network. The main reason I found my wiimc crash dumps.

Well I've realized my wii wasn't connected to the Internet since I don't have the wifi dongle so the iOS58 Installer wouldn't have been able to initialize the network to download iOS58.

That's why I don't understand how my HBC is running on iOS58 unless HackMii installed it?

I'm going to install iOS58 from Wad Manager and see if that works in getting the WiiMC channel running else plan B is to run WiiMC directly from HBC.

I have always run it from hbc, when I get home I will check which iOS I am using. You should also update your wads, also most homebrew first try to initialise a network connection.

This is from Modmii.

VERY IMPORTANT!
In the Homebrew channel, if you do not have a working internet connection already set up, you will see an icon flashing in the bottom right corner of the screen indicating its inability to initialize the network. You should wait for the icon to stop flashing OR let it flash for 30-60 seconds before proceeding otherwise these apps may error shortly after being launched. If you encounter this harmless error, power off the Wii and repeat this step from the beginning. To increase your chances of success, add a working internet connection to your Wii via the official Wii Settings Menu, but be sure to say "No" when asked to perform an update.

Edit .I also use ios 58

I haven't seen this flashing icon. Will post screenshots later. Like I said, I don't have the dongle so I don't have internet connection to my wii anyway. Will install iOS58 from the wad instead of iOS58 Installer and see how that works out.

It is because you dont have an internet connection.

Edit I am running 1.3.1 and it used crash frequently before ,but is quite stable now.

Yes but I didn't see it. I saw two transparent icons in the bottom right corner. No flashing icons

Running from both the WiiMC channel and directly from HBC. Installing the iOS58 wad did the trick.

These are the two icons at the bottom right of HBC. The gecko and the wifi logo. Neither flashes.

Working well but hangs once in a while. Plays 720p content but quite jerky.
