Will I ever get fibre?

Hi folks,

I live in a 50 unit complex which is in a black hole as far as fibre coverage goes. My neighbours across the road have fibre on both sides of me :(

I have emailed Vumatel sales, as well as a number of ISP`s to find out when fibre will be available, and no response other than "We are sorry there is no fibre in your area"

What does it take to get fibre? I have been granted permission by the body corporate where I stay to investigate fibre installation in the complex, but no one really seems interested in even replying, let alone entering into discussions with the body corporate to install fibre.

I`m guessing it would be easier for me to move house to another area, as extreme as that sounds it seems like it is my only chance.

I can get ADSL, but only at 4Mb, which is still better than nothing I guess.

*sigh*

Hi - please send me an email with your complex name and address tammi@stsolutions.co.za and I may assist you further. We specialize in installing fibre into complexes, in partnership with SADV and DFA

very odd that the neighbours have but your complex doesn't, the BC should have gotten site inspections done at the same time as those complexes?
if you go onto the vumatel site and put your address in what do you get as an option rolled out or in progress etc?

What area is this BTW?
