TBH, I really didn't think Eskom would fall this far down. If you told me 5 years ago we would have 7 months of back to back load shedding in 2022/23 I would have said you high.

One has to believe they still have the resources to turn things around with the right people at the helm. Coupled with a major helping hand from the private sector...

One has to remain hopeful, or else we really doomed.

Resources ... questionable as everything has been looted and the coffers are empty. (unlike our honorable president)
The ANC is giving the private sector the cold shoulder and wanting more control rather than working together and listening to input and accepting help.
Good luck remaining hopeful - for a lot of us there is no faith or hope left :-(

Unfortunately the ANC has been taken over by criminal elements disguised as politicians.
For them it's much easier to steal than actually work to improve the lives of the poor (which is, ironically, mostly their people.)
There is, unfortunately, no downside for them as these psychopaths protect each other as they continue to find new ways to loot and plunder state coffers.

Taken over? You mean the criminals within the ANC has risen through the ranks.. every single state capturer except the Guptas have come from within, even ex-prez Zuma the supposed chief was part of the robbery.

Will he be allowed to fire the lazy corrupt employee and hire people that can, and, want to work?
Will he be allowed to take on the corrupt ministers that steal 1 Billion a month?

If you say 'No' to anyone of these questions then nope, he will be ineffective, just another Salary to pay.

Pretoria - Public Protector Thuli Madonsela is investigating allegations of corruption, mismanagement and nepotism against Tshwane Mayor Kgosientso "Sputla" Ramokgopa.

Madonsela's spokesperson Kgalalelo Masibi confirmed the probe on Tuesday as Ramokgopa welcomed the investigation at a news briefing.

He told reporters in Pretoria he was aware of the allegations and that a complaint had been lodged with the public protector.

At the time of the briefing, he had not yet been formally notified of an investigation, the mayor said.

Mahlangu's faction has complained to Public Protector Thuli Madonsela about Tshwane mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa, accusing him of abusing state resources to consolidate his political power.

Madonsela is investigating the claim.

Makhura said the ANC was worried about dubious members using money to get elected. "You don't know how worried the ANC is about dirty money, every conference has money hanging around.''
