Will swaping the Asus x555L i5 with no nvidia improve the resolution?
I just bought an asus x555l with Intel® Core™ i5-5200U Processor, 2.2GHz (3M Cache, up to 2.7GHz) with no Nvidia card and the resolution is very poor for a 15,6 screen, so I was thinking of swaping it for an asus x555l Intel Core i7-5500U Processor 2.4GHz(4M Cache)
4GB MEMORY
2TB HDD
2GB Graphics
15.6 LED Backlit Display
Bluetooth 4.0
Windows 10 (64bit). and it has a Nvidia card, will that improve the resolution or is the resolution tied to the brand of the laptop/series(x555) and not whether it has a graphics card or not? fast replies will be appreciated only have 5 days till I can return it

The max resolution is tied to the physical screen. Would you mind linking the i7 you are looking at?

No. Purchasing a laptop with 'n proper screen (higher resolution) will improve the resolution. Changing to a laptop with a better CPU or GPU will not improve it at all.

Sadly, manufacturers still get away with shipping laptops with ****** screens (1366 x 768). As it stands, one has to spend a fortune on a Retina Macbook pro or Dell XPS 13 to get a screen with a decent resolution. It's worth it though.

My old man has just been down this road, and the retards at Incredible Corruption were dumb founded when he stated he wanted a 1920x1080 screen.. as far as they're concerned that is some amazing special resolution that no laptops come with anymore.. :wtf:

At the end of the day unless you're planning on spending stupid money its almost impossible to get a laptop with a decent res anymore.... its sad.

Within the next year or two, I expect fullHD to become the norm for 15" laptops. Apple won't bring out another laptop with a low resolution screen. The Macbook Air was their last, I'm sure. I'm pretty sure the others will catch on too - they'll look stupid for shipping cheap hardware eventually.
