Sorry for late reply. Missed it before. Yes. Geyser temps are set for 65. And none of us have experienced it in the last 4 years I have been doing this :D

My server rack (using a constant 300W'ish base load draws the most power of everything in my house)

That is why my "Server's" now =
2 x Pi 4's 8GB Ram (Using about 4W each)
1 X Synology NAS (35W & 7W on idle)
Celeron N3350 Media PC (25W)

On topic, using the 1 Pi as HassIO server to run Switch for the geyser that is on twice a day

Okay I've done the tests.

Results are it makes fokkal difference between a full and empty fridge. Same kWh per day. Only thing that made any difference was thermostat setting.
If the contents are already cold it wont make much difference.

Yeah, the only thing I observed is the 10% increase if I moved the thermostat from 4 to 5 and a 10% decrease compared to 4 on 3 setting. I've no left it on 3.

Heh, I wish I can go back to something simple but I run my business from home. Lots of gear that needs to stay on all the time, especially with my home automation as part of it:

- Dell Desktop as Blue Iris Server
- 10 x IP cameras running over PoE
- Ubiquity UDM Pro
- 6 x Ubiquity switches
- 4 x Ubiquity APLRs
- Virtualization server for RAID storage and business services (this one is the most thirsty)
