I read the minimum requirements for it, and I'm wondering, will it run decently on my computer?

My Computer has...

1.4 Ghz (AMD Athlon)
256 RAM
128 MB Graphics Card (GeForce FX 5200)

Hrm, i'd say it will run . Whether it will run decently i don't quite think so, you will definitely need to run it with all the settings set to the lowest.

I could run Guildwars on my laptop which are:
1.6 Ghz Centrino [Intel]
512 MB Ram
128MB Intel Extreme [crap compared to any Nvidia].

But performance was poor, had to play on 800x600 and turn off ALL the fancy effects. That 256MB memory is pushing it, the GFX card should be sufficient, the CPU is also pushing it.

Minimum Requirements:
Operating System: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
Processor: 800 MHz Pentium 3 or equivalent
RAM: 256 MB RAM
Video Card: GeForce 2 class video card with 32MB RAM
Hard Drive: 250 MB hard drive space
Processor: Internet connection

Well, you say crap copared to any NVidia, you obviously havent seen that FX5200 in action, that is the worst NVidia ever made.

Id say the graphics card is holding you back more, but should still be bale to play the game fine. The Athlon chip should be okay.
Do you mean a old school Athlon 1.4GHZ, or like a 1800+?
Should still be suffiecient, better than running some crappy intel centrino anyway.

The 5200 is indeed a complete dog.

I reckon GW will run fine with stuff down low. Very likely you will end up coughing up the extra for a new PC in due time.

Weird nick by the way. How did you come by it?

Funny, I sigh everytime I see South African PC specs.

That PC, could run guild wars, but if you don't want a slide show, you need more RAM, more than anything else. Windows XP should have 512 minimum, 1Gb preferable.

As for X-Cheese are you running at 640x480?

Nokkie - Not a hope in hell. FEAR is well known as being one of the most resource hungry games around...

I had trouble running FEAR on my 6600GT 256mb ddr3 (bought a 7900GS instead). I shudder to think what it will be like on 5200. TBH you probably wont be able to run it at all.
