i have the iphone 15. tomorrow i'm ordering a new one and this one goes in the bin since its now obsolete. i'd give it to my 7yo, but i wouldn't want him to be seen with last year's model either.

I believe that the iPhone is a very solid piece of hardware. By the way my grandson throws his mom's phone around it must be pretty strong.

My first iPhone was the 13 Pro Max, and I was converted from Android permanently on day one pretty much. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely mine. The camera is more reliable, I prefer iOS, I especially prefer iOS apps and the killer feature is the integration with my other Apple stuff. (Either that or the Live Photo effect you get with photos, which brings them to life and is used across all platforms.) The way iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, iPad, AirTags etc. work together is awesome.

I got a pretty great trade-in on that 13PM when upgrading to my current 14PM, and I see the trade-in is the same for my 14PM (although it's 512GB instead of 256GB), so I'll probably trade-in for a 16PM.
