That pea sized brain isn't serving you well.

I'm only speculating and the one scenario is quite pertinent, a forced update that could break up a potential botnet, especially considering the cock-ups Ms makes.

If Microsoft didn't have a security arrangement/relationship with various branches of the US government I'd be very surprised. You'd have to be an idiot not to surmise that.

By your logic any computer using Chrome could also become part of a botnet...

Cos you know all connected and stuff.
I highly doubt you know the architect of Windows 10 but shame...

Well your answer came about after you applied your own logic and we all know that's up to schit..

Anyone who isn't borderline brain dead would be able to understand I referred to the Microsoft organization not the poor slave who coded it, you on the other hand

:D

/Looks at Windows 10 in the title.
/Thinks about the core that powers it.

Yup you definitely have no clue about how things work.
Keep living in the Y2K era, the Soviets are coming!

This kind of posting is disgusting. It suggests that you have a clue, but you have nothing to share... <g>

It is in preparation for WWIII, I have no doubt, but suggesting Soviets? I am afraid, you still live with 20th Century fears.

So bot nets are 21st Century fears?

You tell them sajunky, MS and Whatsapp better not force their software on you. How dare they leave you merciless to their updates.
What if I tell you go to sleep in your hell of fear of Soviets?

Good night.

Noticed now when an update is available there's a pop-up that steals focus from whatever you were busy with and it's persistent, you can't dismiss it or alt-tab away, only way to get round it is click on it which opens the Windows update page.

Reminds me of the old days of those pop-ups when you landed on a dodgy webpage, the ones it seemed you couldn't close them unless you closed the browser etc

This is an infamous UAC deny of service, I wrote about before. It forces you to press 'update' button, otherwise it won't let you work on this computer. When I wrote it I was called immediately by Microsoft moles an "uneducated and a lier". It makes sense now if you read below:

I just discovered that disabling updates Group Policy entries were ignored even before Creators Update. I just made a fresh installation of 1607 Pro from ISO (original file). During few seconds needed for activation it took 10MB. I unplugged network and disabled updates in GP. It didn't made any changes in Settings app. Still shows "will check for updates and install automatically". Plugged in Internet for testing, pressed "Check for updates" button. Unplugged cable when it started automatically download updates (KB4013418). Over 50MB gone.

My conclusion is that accepting Group Policy entries is conditional under Microsoft server approval. Previously server gave an instruction to accept entries and now it gives you a crossed finger. I can't use Windows 10 under such terror.

Seems like these update issues only affect new-ish Windows 10 installs. I went from 8, 8.1 to 10 and now the Creators Update and I have non of these issues.
