Maybe. Fact: 1900+ people that aren't you found the competition just fine, and I can guarantee that among those people there are those using either of the mobile interfaces. You have an issue with the interface - great. That issue, however, does not expressly have anything to do with this competition, and so is not in the least relevant to the competition nor its discussion; in other words, if anything, you're the one that tried to bring to a discussion points that had no place there.

The difference is that your complaint revolves around the fact you missed out on the chance to submit an entry for a competition whereas I was concerned about the devolution of article quality for a site I enjoy reading articles on. This might just be a language thing, as I'm guessing English isn't your mother tongue, but what you said there indicates that you believe you are entitled to notification of competitions for the simple fact that you have 1k+ posts. That is commonly referred to as considering oneself entitled to preferential treatment.
