Not sure this counts as a "feature" but the quality of this speaker is top notch, same as all other Xiaomi products. I have a MiBox, Mi vacuum, Mi kettle and Xiaomi smart air purifier. BIG fan of the design, quality and connectivity of their products :)
 
I have owned several, including several in the JBL range. Bluetooth tends to be "spotty" with music. I am hoping that the wi-fi connectivity of the Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker takes care of the problem. Besides, anything that is free is better, right?

The voice-activation, built-in Chromecast, and 12W speakers are all great features - especially considering the Mi smart speaker's compact size.
 
I like the Chromecast capabilities which are built-in, I can stream shows, movies and music right onto my smart TV!
 
The fact that you can connect to it via Wi-Fi, which means I can connect it to my home network and that it also has 2 mics for listening in on commands. Trying out the smart home equipment to try reduce electricity costs. Also kinda need a speaker for music.
