Hi ,

First time posting on MyAdsl.
Ive come across a strange problem with win2000.Starting last week Thurs Win2000 just wont connect to iburt. It says "veriying username and password ,and just hangs.Eventually it says "cant connect to iburst".The problem seems to be only in the Glenwood ,Durban.Ive tried says 3 other PCs with win2000 Pro/Srv/Adv Srv + RAPPPOE prog ,and same error.Used a PC with a dual boot of XP and Win2000.Winxp work fine but not win2000.Ive tried playing with MTU settings .Ive connected used USB and ethernet still aint working. It only seems to be in the Glenwood area because i went to the Musgrave Area (The tower is CBD) and it worked fine.Spoken with Techs (incl Sean Parvin) and they cant come up with any answers

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try uninstalling all the network components (TCP/IP) in Windows 2000 and then reinstall. Have seen a corrupted TCP stack in Windows 2000 before. Also make sure you install SP4 and Update Rollup 1b for SP4.

Thanks - will try that later on.Although if the TCP/IP stack was corrupted why did it work when connected to a different tower ? I guess i will try anything now.
