Hey~

I would like to ask, how do you back up your drivers? Because I am planing to reformat my brothers computer, but I do not have all the drivers off his computer.. Is there anyway to keep the old drivers and install it on the new Window XP?

Thanks

Download this program -> Speccy <- and run it on the machine you are going to format.

It will tell you exactly what hardware you have, and you can then go and download the correct drivers off the manufacturers website.

AFAIK there is no easy way to back up already installed drivers...

driver magician did a decent job the one time i tested it but what you should seriously consider doing is as said above, and then after you reinstalled everything download Ghost and make an image of the hdd.im amazed how easy it is to go from a virus infected hdd or something fcks up and all you do is format and ghost and you good to go

DriverMax is another freebie which is excellent at backing up all your drivers at one click; it then classifies them by category, so when you reinstall (e.g. moving up to Windows 7) you can choose to reinstall only those you need. It asks for registration, but works OK without.
