Anybody else had a problem with Internet Explorer 11 since the Anniversary update? Since the update IE keeps freezing. Then get a "recover webpage" message. Have reset IE 11, cleared all history etc, but no luck. Even tried disabling Anti-virus as suggested in one Google post, but nothing works. Don't use IE much, prefer Firefox, but this is irritating!!

Sorry have not seen this at all.

Admittedly, I only use IE 11 for 3 web sites now, and have completely switched over to MS Edge for everything else. The only "recover page" messages I have had this last week were when there were local DNS issues.

How are you accessing IE 11? Direct or from MS Edge?

No issue here on my 5 physical and 6 virtual systems. Sorry. I still mostly use IE, but increasingly cutting over to Edge.

Sounds like a config issue. Maybe a rogue app.

No, accessing it direct. Edge and Firefox both work fine. Have checked for any browser add-ons and done a complete reset on IE11. Funnily enough my other PC which has not had the Anniversary update does not have any problems with IE.

Try clearing your dns cache. Run ipconfig /flushdns

Forgot about that option, but just tried it. No luck, again IE opened OK but after about three clicks froze up again. Back to recover webpage again!

What's the next OS from Microsoft going to be. Are there already news available.

Nevermind, I just googled it.

But another question comes to mind. How will hardware requirements change over time as Microsoft brings out new updates for Windows 10?

There is another factor that influences what happens after an upgrade. That is just how many sites have to be "imported into the new version?

The process can be quite slow and data intensive. Especially if you have signed on with an MS account , and all your "favourites" are stored in the cloud somewhere.

IE 11 performance is quite erratic while all this is going on. Poor, unreliable connectivity makes matters worse.

Answer?: Clear out all the junk in your favorites lists. Make sure you go on line afterwards to clear out the junk stored in the cloud too, otherwise next time you log on, the synch process will put back all that junk onto your devices, and you may even think you are fast going crazy!

Hardware requirement for RAM has already doubled in July 'Anniversary' release, but all outranked systems are still trying to update itself...

I was having problems in getting Windows 10 Anniversary update installed. This happened on multiple systems.

Booting in clean mode (disabling all non Microsoft services and all startup apps) and then running the upgrade / update fixed it.

If you're having issues it might be worth a try.
