Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new Start Menu.

Everything else looks good, unless I'm missing something.

What exactly are the privacy issues with this new release?

Everything you do on Windows 10 is monitored and send home. There are system services responsive for it, not only Windows shell. Microsoft even has invented a special term "telemetry". Pretty innovative. When you install Windows 10 you agree that everything can be send back to Microsoft and Microsoft's partners. In France there was already Court ruling on this issue.

If you are not caution, you will also get 'telemetry' spyware on Windows 7 (coming with recent automatic updates).

Hasn't that been there from the start with Win 10? I'm asking if there is anything new?

I am impressed with two exceptions.
  1. Missing OneDrive "Place Holders"
  2. The Mail & Calendar App does not integrate with OneDrive in order to attach files from Onedrive like the Office Outlook Email Client.
EDIT: The PC version of Mail & calendar has this problem excluding the Phone version.

I've got a Lumia device running Win 10 Phone and would like to try out Continuum now that you don't need the docking station anymore.
At the moment you can only connect with Miracast Enabled Devices. Do you get adapters for non compatible devices?

Fat finger syndrome.
Creaing new pretty looking menu is easy. Making it useful requires usability study before implementing something. Making it useful on the desktop and tablet simultaneously is not going to work.

I still don't have the update from WU. Currently running 1511/10586.494. Tried the media creation tool and the update assistant, ut both failed with an error code that discusses a problem my laptop doesn't have (seemingly). Just going to have to wait it out.

But now, will it be a cumulative update through WU? As in, will it still be ~3.xGB and install the same way the initial 8.1->10 upgrade did?

Will get in a few months... my machines are on the CBB track (except the one on LTSB). Effectively, you lot are my beta testers. :)

Ok after almost a week with the update, I can confidently say my PC "seems faster".
