Had absolutely no issue in getting the new build, on Wednesday morning. All the PCs I am maintaining (22 so far) all upgraded with no issues whatsoever.

Busy working through my log file of issues to see how many of them have been attended to in the new build, plus checking on various customisation I did in the old build.

Start menu is a bit weird, ****ed my workflow.
Seems a hell of a lot snappy than my old LTSB version I was running.

I still don't have the update from WU. Currently running 1511/10586.494. Tried the media creation tool and the update assistant, ut both failed with an error code that discusses a problem my laptop doesn't have (seemingly). Just going to have to wait it out.

But now, will it be a cumulative update through WU? As in, will it still be ~3.xGB and install the same way the initial 8.1->10 upgrade did?
Seems like previous updates maybe missing on your system?

Don't use the start menu any more since searching is so much faster. If indexing is set up properly you can even get into your code :D
Pray tell how to setup indexing properly, because I have an i7 and 16gb ram ssd and windows search is still useless?

I use Everything to search and Launchy to launch programs

Can you use the full Iso to just install the update?
Do you start the install from Windows Explorer and then it just updates?
Yes, use the .iso file you downloaded (make sure you have the correct one, 32-bit or 64-bit).

The iso file mounts as a virtual DVD. Simply click setup and go. It'll ask a few questions (get updates, etc) and then upgrade.

I upgraded several machines from 1511 to 1607 like this.

Updated yesterday, Chrome seems to have a problem opening Microsoft sites

Yes, Chrome was wonky when I did the update. A Chrome update was available which resolved the issue, may be a cache issue as well.

Windows 10 beta

It's still awhile to go and I suspect there will be a some more changes to come with each rolling update so for now I'm working on the Linux machine a little more simply because then my work flow can't get interrupted for the time being.

Did they change rendering at all since the very first release of win 10? Some apps seem to be a lot more crisp. Visual Studio 2015 being one of them.

Index properties and file contents?
How's that supposed to speed anything up, I'm only interested in the file name.
It might be better for you to reindex all your files. I thought you wanted to get more advanced searching done within your files.

Tried that, still like a lame donkey, Everything(https://www.voidtools.com/) can search an index of 2.25TB worth of files in an instant, Windows takes a good second or 2 just to search the control panel index, faqing useless bastards at MS.

Windows 10 minimal requirements have increased substantially (double for RAM). What was error code?

Anyone?
Microsoft do not longer post checksums on Web site.
For all who downloaded a pure ISO using above method, please post checksum for both 32-bit and 64-bit English version.

If you downloaded and created image using Media Creation Tool, ignore.
