why is this even news? anybody with a braincell can see M$ releases barely tested updates.
look at their track record, not much to shout about there.

Every update will break something somewhere. Windows 10 is used so widely and on so many hardware configurations it's literally impossible to test.

Happens most often on Win10. If you look at MS's update methodology and rollout you'll also understand why. Now if only there was a previous version that allowed you to update what you wanted and when you wanted to.

Microsoft's problem is that they have designed their OS such that it will fail on many hardware configurations because of its structure.

They have had decades to apply the Unix philosophy to their OS, but chose to make it the monolith of all monoliths.
