So I would like to try Steam link but over the internet, which is possible if you use a VPN connection. My home desktop PC has a simple password to login as I'm not too worried about unauthorised access at home. So I have created a VPN server on my home PC which I will port forward to from other PC's on the internet. However I would like the password for the VPN to be a lot longer and more secure than my current local login password. The problem is that if I change the VPN password it changes my local login password as well.
How can I change the VPN password without having to change my local login password?
My local login is an admin account, can I create a new user just for the VPN? Keeping in mind this new user will need full access to Steam running on my local login.
