windows 2000 professional modem help

Hi Guys

I have win 2000 professional and I am trying to install the CELL C USB modem
and it continously saying could not open port when I try to connect

I tried changing port and re-installing drivers , no luck

Any help please

If a port change didn't work, check the modem driver configuration (right click on it in device manager, properties) Play around with the settings there and see if it works, don't install the driver again, you'll mess up the system.
