Windows Media Player 11

Downloaded in 10m 18s thanks to crappy 384k fraudband :(

4mb = 10 times faster but only 2.1 times more expensive. Is Telkom still open? :D
 
^^^ My mate just upgraded his 384 to 512 for a whole R3 extra, they (TELKOM) must be trying/fighting hard now :)
 
Is there really any advantage to upgrade? I have ver 10 and it works no better than ver9 or even 6 with regard to all the media I have.
 
I rate media player 10 better then previous, tried 11 and didnt like it as it used too much resources, now im on 10 and fine with it :)
 
I still can't get over the fact that people use this app, being an old Winamp user, I fail to see Windows Media Players functionality, my winamp does everything it does, but only better :D

Think about it this way, Windows Vista is gonna come standard with Media Player 11, so if you think that uses up a lot of resources, imagine how much resources Vista is gonna use. ;)
 
Vista looks like crap without the glass effect
porting the Vista look to XP without the glass just looks disgusting
IMO

prefer iTunes and foobar thanks
 
iTunes with the plugin to go through Foobar is great. But I cant get it working with ASIO or kernal streaming on the lastest foobar..

That however sucks up even more recourse, because you run both apps. But still less CPU because foobar is so great.

I actualy use WMP11 now, it just looks great with all my album art which I have for all my music, but I only use it for music, MPC for vids.
I basically use it for the looks and I like the new library design, keeps the year Genre and album title all in on tiny block which makes alot of sense.
 
another thing that puts me off WMP is the way it handles album art for mp3's
iTunes does it perfectly and organizes the library better

I do use WMP for videos and DVD's though...
 
lol, for videos, and you dont like its album art?

I find it screws up with alot of videos that MPC or VLC players can handle. I like the album art, Itunes has a tiny block for album art, in WMP I like the now playing section with lyrics and album art filling the screen, thats just alot nicer than any other player imo.
 
i love the new wmp... at first i didn't know what was going on... it was so different... but now i love it... i looks awesom and best of all none of my friends have it... which means the all think its some exitotic version of wimamp... hee hee hee
