Windows Upgrade on HP laptop question

So in December I bought my wife a new HP laptop for work with Windows Vista preloaded. On opening the box you get a wonderful little pamflet saying that you can get an upgrade to Windows 7 for free, just go to a website and order your disk. On the website you get informed that there is a $40 postage fee to ship the disk to you from the USA.

Now I already have a copy of Windows 7 for myself so I do not actually need this disk.

Does anyone know if there is a way to just get the actual product key without having to have the disk shipped to you?
