Winston might be onto something here!

Been thinking laterally about Winstons latest press release, and I think I might have stumbled onto the strategy behind this release. First Point is that Sentech does not have enough bandwidth. Second point is that they possibly don't have any money (or the My wirless Division does not have enough money to be exact) to buy more bandwidth. Third point is that you get a whole lot of business subscribers to sign up who only use bandwidth during the day. Fourth point is that you now have some extra cash to but more bandwidth. Fifth point is that business users don't use bandwidth during the evening, so you hand that bandwidth over to the baddie users of MyWireless.

Hmmm, anyone seen conspiracy theory with Mel Gibson?

er no, and you have WAY too much time on your hands...

Hell, my gran on a scooter with a memory stick is faster than Sentech's MyWireless!

perhaps. BUT its about profit margins.. I think they DO have the money but they are trying to make too large a ROI. I mean 2000 people x 3500 = a sht load of money (and thats just the modems.. so ok 50% profit = R3.5mil) add to that 2000x750=R1.5mil turnover every month. After 6 months of business.. thats not all that bad. Not having enough money-I dont think so. Being greedy.. more likely.

I came to the same conclusion in another thread earlier.
