buy a router / access point

reason 1: Ad-Hoc wifi is crap, an access point will allow you to use infrastructure mode

reason 2: Without a router, you'll have to use windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), which is also crap.

He has the Laptop modem, meaning he cant connect it to a router right? (MCMIA.. or something) So you would have to go through a normal access point to set up a network with the PC's and just use internet connection sharing.

Hi.

Bought the linksys Wireless-G Broadband router from Makro for R900 (or something). Works like a charm. Setup is easy, and i don't need the Desktop to connect to iBurst as the router does that. So it's just a case of booting up and i'm online. From anywhere in the house (also a small house). And from non-techie li'l ol' me.
