What "free" application can I use to monitor what's going on on my wireless network?

All my devices are dropping and reconnecting continuously for the last couple of days. I have a feeling something is buggered and flooding the network.

Wifi Analyzer on Android has helped me have a look at what else might be covering the spectrum if the problem is there.

Alternative is just to use Wireshark and see if something on the network might be flooding it.

If I recall - Wifi analyzer doesn't do what I'm wanting to do... will look at Wireshark

Not quite but it will allow you to look at what is happening on the spectrum. You might be losing connectivity because the channel you are using is flooded.

When I checked on Monday it was fine ... so unless a new neighbour has arrived on the spectrum ...

Will check again when I'm at home. Its also affecting 5Ghz devices - and there's no one else using 5Ghz

could be something else entirely affecting it?
On my old linksys router the washing machine on a certain cycle would kill the wifi - very odd but that was it.

Then your best bet is probably wireshark to look at all the traffic

Nothing has changed or been introduced, and it seems fairly constant.

Will do at home.

I'm not picking anything unusual up - quite a bit of traffic, but nothing hectic.

Problem I seem to have is on onside of the house the lower channels are used, and on the other side, the higher channels are used (by neighbours)

Wondering if I shouldn't drop the Asus routers wifi network, and replace it with the high power Tenda I'm currently using as an extender. (or at least drop the 2.4Ghz from the Asus)
