Hi

Im looking for advice. Im staying about 10km outside of Krugersdorp between Sterkfontein caves and Maropeng. We are using Axxess at the moment and MTN as well as MTN is the only provider that have a signal in this area.
However, we have various devices and packages and each with a gig or 2, but somehow we always need to buy more data during the month.
We also have started a B&B and I would like to offer a internet service for the clients as well as one tenant staying on the farm.
Where can I get a unlimited (or at least 10 gig) broadband service or internet?

And also setting up a WI-FI hotspot, how can I go about it seeing that the B&B is about 100m away from the main house.
I don't mind paying for the initial set-up fees but also I don't want to spend 10K just for it!
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can find the MTN Internet bundle sizes at https://www.mtninternet.co.za/GetIt/Pages/InternetBundles.aspx

If possible you could setup the WiFi hotspot halfway between the main house and B&B and have both covered. Alternatively, install the hotspot in one building and use a repeater or access point with WDS to rebroadcast the signal in the other building.

The rCell 500 supports LTE and can be easily configured to use hotspotsystem.com as a captive portal to either charge your clients for Internet access or allow access based on guest passwords.

I hope that helps.
