Also posting from cell and not bothering to open your links. I bought a Canyon wireless router (not modem) from arx valdex. Its wireless N300 and I paid R399 which seemed an absolute bargain, I've had no issues in the past 2 months, playing PS3 online, surfing the net on TV and streaming video . It just took very long to setup, networking is a beetch.

My only concern when making the purchase was that the account to deposit into was a personal account and not the companies name but it was sent in 3 days without problems.
Will send you the model no. later on.

None of those routers really seem good. The best of the bunch is probably the D-Link and I detest them. The ones I've worked with have all been absolutely terrible. Try and stick with known brands such as Netgear or Linksys.
Obviously not all units from the same manufacturer are equal, but odds are this one wouldn't disappoint, and it seems to be within your budget. If it were me, I'd pop over to take2 and pic up their WRT120N Linksys wireless N unit for around R450 (Which is exactly what I did a few months ago) as it's behaving itself very well. Otherwise I'd go for the aforementioned Netgear as I've had one of their ADSL wireless routers for going on 7 years now and it hasn't given a day's problems. Hell, I can't even remember having to reset it.

So you felt to share this with us...why exactly? Have you considered that you didn't need to post if you didn't have anything productive to say? You don't need to post in every thread you know, keep your postwhoring for TK.
Be nice to the girl. No wonder you computer geeks don't get laid.

I'm actually getting married in April, and stop white-knighting, she's not going to give you any nookie because you stand up for her. Besides, wtf does it matter whether she's a girl or not?

Sounds to me like you're not getting any & have run out of socks/tissues...

Whatever your probem is - maybe start a thread.

I actually never said you didn't know anything. I actually know a couple of women who know a fair chunk about IT. I said that your initial post contributed nothing to the thread and the only thing of substance contained in it is you pointing out your ability to post from your phone. In other words, you might as well have posted this:
"LKSDJFLSKDJFS:LDKFJS:KFJ". It would have had the same effect. Nobody gives a toss whether you can post from your phone.

Sorry I can't toss & sweetness please be kind & stop derailing this person's thread.

My initial post was actually in hope that someone would even just say what the routers are that's being looked at.

/goes to RAS all my posts in this thread & then your's that are off topic

To the OP my apologies that the thread as been derails by someone that did not have Kelloggs in the morning & then reacted to my post.

Don't report all of mine, seeing as mine is one of the only two to actually contribute something to the thread :p

They are all getting RAS'd if they contain anything OT which your first post already did.

It would be kind ot the OP if the thread is given a fresh start.
