Hi,

I have just recently moved and the complex I am staying in does not have Telkom lines, so moving my 4mb ADSL line is not possible. I am looking at WISP option and would appreciate some recommendations.

I am in the Bellville/Labiance/Stikland area, so signal for most providers should not be an issue.

Looking forward to your responses.

Thanks. I'm having a look at Amobia as well. They have a 384k uncapped product which looks promissing.

Looks good. Softcap 60GB. Do they throttle thereafter? What do they mean by "Softcap"

We do throttle when you reach 60GB. Both upload and download speeds will be limited to 128Kb for the remainder of the month.

If you are looking to download, download and download some more, you would be better off with a connection to the CTWUG where you can download at very high speeds for free. We are doing more and more "two radio" installations where one radio and antenna point to the WUG and the other one points to us. We are seeing people who used to download more than 120GB a month on their uncapped accounts now buying 5GB capped accounts with cap left over at the end of the month, when they have a connection to the WUG.

This is exactly what i have in mind. Can you perhaps elaborate here or send me a private msg? Thanks.
Equipment costs, installation etc.
