Bttb iro to ure post.

Im not gonna list the sentech/nowire guys here. This is just for the normal Wireless guys out there.
I havent been able to find a centralised site out there yet that lists these guys cause of their shyness from icasa. but i think its time that wisps get their act together and say look this is us this is our customer base we have so many subscribers and its not frying anyones brains yet.
so there.

Armitage, could you add a customer experience field to your list? Would be nice to get some/any feedback on each company.

Well as im not a customer of any of these companies the field would be kinda a dead one without a poll system.
A bud just got wireless onlne and his installation time was about a week after application. the guy didnt show up the first time or the second time finally a techie showed up yesterday two hours late(not even the same guy).

by speed wireless online their 64kb package seems to be running quite nicely on his setup. he's cruising at a whopping 7kb/s.
p2p is kinda useless on wireless online considering they only allow those ports open after 1 through to 7 in the morning.

I wasn't actually suggesting that you fill in the comment field right now, but as you hear from customers of the various wisps, maybe just add a short note or two. For example:
Delayed installation, good constant throughput, p2p after 01:00.

Anything to give a prospective customers a bit more info. As someone who is looking for a cheap home internet solution, this is the sort of info that would really help me with a decision.

Well i had a Wisp come to do a site survey at my place. nice thing is that these guys dont charge for the setup and the site survey. U just pay for your monthly R400 connection charge for the 128K

Unfortunately considering the Board members of my complex don't know where a roof access key was I was forced to dangle outside my apartment trying to get the signal through a little crack.

damn this sucks

what do you think is the best option Wireless online or uninet? Uninets startup costs are a little bit higher than wireless online but how do they compare in service levels

uninet gives you R1200 back when they take you hardware back. WO gives you nothing and I think they have 6month contract. Uninets month costs are cheaper tho.

WO And Uninet browsing http services are almost identical. With regard to downtime and problems can't compare.
