Ai.. please go get your GED...

The article refers to using the Aircon to heat the interior of the car, NOT having the Aircon cool the car while the blower heater is also on..

So, to summarize:

Do NOT use the Aircon to heat interior by setting the temperature higher than 23.. Use the normal blower heater to heat, with the Aircon turned off..

That's a good point actually, with the CC on auto it has the ac on regardless of your temperature setting. I'll take note of that from now on.

I hate aircons. Makes me sneeze like Craig on steroids. I keep the windows open and don't use a seatbelt.

I'm surprised that they didn't mention that shaking your car from side to side will allow you to get all the air out of your car and an extra 500ml (similar to burping a baby) - less stopping = more efficiency

Tried the whole aircon thing once...I probably added about 10km to my tank. Nothing more. Seems to be a bit of a fallacy.

Also, the windows down creates more drag, and you use more petrol to overcome it than you would by using the aircon anyway.

On my car the AC is always on, by default. Don't think it will make much difference to economy. That few cents extra is worth it.

But can you drive uphill in reverse, with the aircon on?

So anybody got electric scooter/motorcycle recommendations..??
I test rode a Zero motorbike in 2014 here in Milnerton, damn that thing was lightning fast on pullaways. Pity the company has pulled out of South Africa, I would have bought one now this year.
Back then 7 years ago their batteries were guaranteed to get you 500 000km and still be 80% healthy, that alone was the selling point for me but I wasnt earning a good salary then and couldnt afford the 4 grand a month payments.
