A natural gas conversion kit is another option. Natural gas goes for I think R10/L.

Right, 90 km/h in the left lane it is, then.
On my car the AC is always on, by default. Don't think it will make much difference to economy. That few cents extra is worth it.
I use my car's climate control in one of three ways - completely off, defrost mode, or auto. On my car the difference is about 0.2 L/100 km at most, and I honestly don't even notice when the (mechanical) AC compressor kicks in.

I test rode a Zero motorbike in 2014 here in Milnerton, damn that thing was lightning fast on pullaways. Pity the company has pulled out of South Africa, I would have bought one now this year.
Back then 7 years ago their batteries were guaranteed to get you 500 000km and still be 80% healthy, that alone was the selling point for me but I wasnt earning a good salary then and couldnt afford the 4 grand a month payments.

They have such a cool website.

Thanks anc, you kuntz.
Should build an anc zapper, like a mozzie zapper. Just replace the purple light tubes with kfc.

So if I get 30km to the litre on petrol will I also get 30km per litre on gas? Can I use it with my Weber Q2000 braai as well? And thirdly can I braai and ride at the same time?

This was from the Uber Drivers group on Facebook:

Yeah, it's cheaper per liter, but you also don't go as far per litre*

EDIT: Citation found - https://www.elgas.com.au/autogas-lpg-cars/fuel-cost-savings-autogas-lpg-cars/
12.3L/100km LPG mileage vs petrol mileage of 9.9L/100km

Someone else can do the math. But I think the cost of the conversion means that you'll need to travel substantial distances to realise any savings.

A quick Google search, indicates NCG may provide more mileage.. Going to do further research though..

I already found a source that supports my opinion, so, as is internet tradition, my opinion is now set in stone and will never change - technology can advance and stars can become blackholes, I will always believe natural gas is less efficient. /s

On a side note, a few links did show consumption as a drawback for natural gas. However, the energy density of natural gas is higher than gasoline, so in theory it should work? I suppose there hasn't been that much $ sunk into the research and optimisation.
