I read these posts and really have to laugh.

So the idea that someone has moved away from the middle east to Los Angeles is irrelevant. Because she is from the UAE her rights can be violetd i.e. Freedom of religion.

I agree with MURH you are a bunch of cowards hiding behind the anonymity of the internet. Yeah yeah bet you feel really good about urselves.

The only thing that the articleDeals with is:

a) she admitted to the crime
b) She was verbally assaulted (Unexcusable)
c) Forced to remove her scarf ... not just for the photos (scarfs are allowed)
d) no fine or charge was layed

Those are the facts the practices in the middle east have stuff all to do with anything.

I'm always amazed at how so many muslims scream about human rights abuses when their countries of origin are so repressive to everyone including non-muslims & christians. Try taking a bible to Saudi or going bare-headed in Iran or even Pakistan!!
Now that you bring Human Rights up.

Read at own leisure:

*http://www.hrw.org/wr2k2/us.html
*http://www.hrw.org/campaigns/september11/opportunismwatch.htm

btw Saudi Arabia will never has never been the target of global attention for issues relating to human rights... because they fund the US gov from behind the scenes. Pakistan already has conformed to US demands so I don't think they will be an issue anytime soon. Iran on the other hand is not willing to bend over for the US and as a result they get some bad press and a few tactical missles through their kitchen windows.

Roberts "accused Medina of being a terrorist and supporting terrorism. He stated that Muslims are evil ... and that the United States was in Iraq at God's direction to squash evil," read the suit.
Meh. Bigoted people live everyone, including the U.S. and ESPECIALLY the Union Building.
