A company in Texas posted an image of a job applicant wearing a swimsuit as an example of how not to apply for a job.

Marketing company Kickass Masterminds posted an Instagram slide - since removed - of applicant Emily Clow, along with advice on professionalism.

"Do not share your social media with a potential employer if this is the kind of content on it," it said.

The company has since made its own accounts private after receiving "death threats and harassing messages".

Ms Clow applied for a marketing role with the firm as "it was a company founded by women, seemed to support women in business and worked with start-ups".

But she was shocked by the public shaming.

The company's post went on: "I am looking for a professional marketer - not a bikini model.

Employer: Give us your personal twitter and insta handles as part of your application.

Applicataint: Heres my CV and app.

Employer: How dare you wear a swimsuit at a pool in your own private life and personal time. Hey world look at this slut, don't apply when you have normal pictures like this. See, see these scandalous pictures.

Dafaq is wrong with these idiots. And they haven't even had the decency to applogies and say they were wrong, just delete/ made their corporate accounts private.

A. terrible decision by the company. People should be allowed to express themselves, considering that it is her body. My opinion.

This reminds me, I need to update my Instagram with a couch. See how people respond, and who will be conducting the interview.

Company Founder Who Slut-Shamed Applicant's Bikini Photo Forgot To Disable Her Own YouTube Channel

Kickass Mastermind exec Sara Christensen, on the right, I believe.

Maybe she's just jelly over the other girl being fitter than her.

Company Founder Who Slut-Shamed Applicant's Bikini Photo Forgot To Disable Her Own YouTube Channel

Sara Christensen's videos lecture people on how to get your body back, or how to keep a man.

Oh, the irony.
The company founder who slut-shamed a job applicant's social media history... has a social media history of her own.
Sara Christensen's company Kickass Masterminds hit headlines this week when they shared a bikini pic of Emily Clow — without her knowledge or permission — and used it to warn other applicants against posting "unprofessional" photos on Instagram.

Ps, Fair warning, clicking on the link above may invoke mild eye and brain cancel... make sure to take your anti-gossip rag meds.

The **** that makes the news these days.

The reason I posted it, was I think stuff like this sets a dangerous precident and should be called out. Companies that do this stuff should be named and shamed and every possible legal action against them taken.

Personal life =! work life.

With the exception a few key situations, what anyone does or says or shows on their personal social media accounts as fsk all to do with whom they work for. In this case this woman did nothing wrong, I don't think there is a person here who'd say she did or what she posted on her instagram was inappropriate (unless they're some super religious type that requires full body covering,). There was nothing in her post that refered to the company or was in anyway and kind of representation of them. she applied a for job and they went through her social media and pulled this out and shamed her. Everything this company did was wrong and they should answer for it.

@Hamster , that wasn't rant aimed at you, just this kind of **** from companies pisses me off. And the people that justify it.

Honestly, probably better off not working for that company.

This is what pisses me off, you go for an interview and they want your Facebook, Instagram, twitter, WhatsApp and you name it accounts. Unless I'm Actively bringing your companie's name into bad repute, what I do in my spare time has got absolutely **** all to do with you.

But fair enough social media has caused a lot more **** than is necessary and we would probably be better off without it. Let private **** stay private
