The reason I posted it, was I think stuff like this sets a dangerous precident and should be called out. Companies that do this stuff should be named and shamed and every possible legal action against them taken.

Personal life =! work life.

With the exception a few key situations, what anyone does or says or shows on their personal social media accounts as fsk all to do with whom they work for. In this case this woman did nothing wrong, I don't think there is a person here who'd say she did or what she posted on her instagram was inappropriate (unless they're some super religious type that requires full body covering,). There was nothing in her post that refered to the company or was in anyway and kind of representation of them. she applied a for job and they went through her social media and pulled this out and shamed her. Everything this company did was wrong and they should answer for it.

@Hamster , that wasn't rant aimed at you, just this kind of **** from companies pisses me off. And the people that justify it.
I agree with this. Advertisement for a secretary. "Oh no you can't apply because there's some pictures from when you were 19 and needed the money." We aren't living in the dark ages any more. Companies are not our moral compass.

Unless an actual employee was wearing your company branded clothing and engaging in illegal behaviour , you should have no qualms .
Companies have too much power now as a result of various marxist policies which have crept into our "capitalist"states

Well you can tell a lot about a person from their Instagram posts. I wouldn't hire somebody who posts that kind of stuff on Instagram because chances are they are easily manipulatible and be addicted to social media.

I'd hire her....
I'm confused, she was applying for a marketer position. Isn't this the kind of person/thing you look for in a marketer? Or were they looking for some conservative church going marketer?

Lol. You can't blame "Marxist" policies for this, can you? If anything, I'd blame conservative nuts.

True conservatives do not use social media for anything as it is the stepping stone to social points and when it runs its course spying on neighbours for a better flat as per USSR , yes cultural marxism is to blame.

It's a marketing position. Marketing people are/should be more social.
