'We repeatedly called the housing association because it was weird - her letter box was full and I could see from the letters she hadn't been paying rent. I called them up again and said I hadn't seen this lady in months.

After all these failed attempt I would have broken the door with an axe and then call the police to say there's a robbery/murder in progress.

Or maybe should have reported that the neighbor was saying mean things online - would have probably gotten police out quicker and trying to break the door down to make an arrest.

Oh yes. My son is in the Met. One of the most trying jobs he has is to track down the senders of offensive text messages or social media posts that have been reported by mainly residents of council housing. The house is always a mess with broken furniture or a washing machine in the yard, clothes all over the place and left over food. But in every house there is a huge TV on the wall usually tuned to some mindless junk.

Reporting a text message would have got the cops to the door.

Read the articles, they did in fact realise something was wrong, but the authorities ignored their pleas and requests to investigate.
