Woman shot dead, baby found crying

A 30-year-old French woman has been found murdered at a house in Parkhurst, Gauteng police said on Thursday.

Captain Bheki Mavundla said the woman was found by her husband when he returned from work on Monday.

"The husband tried to call her all day, but could not reached her," Mavundla said.

When he arrived home he found the gate wide opened and became suspicious.

He called ADT security guards, and together with the guards went inside the house and found the woman dead on the floor.

She had been shot in the head.

A five month old baby was found crying next to the woman.

Mavundla said house appliances were alleged to have been taken out of the house.

A case of house robbery and murder was opened for investigation. No arrest had been made.

He said footage from surveillance cameras in the area would be used to help the police investigators. - Sapa

I might sound a bit tactless but hear me out. I can understand farmers/Afrikaners/whites be killed just because of pure hate, or because the will not go down without a fight.

But a 30yo French woman just for kicks ?

Nope, there is more to this story. I can feel it in my gut.

But I feel damn sorry for the woman, so young and she only had her baby a few months ago. Young and very happy with her whole life just starting.

No, again. Let me teach you a little about odds

If you live in a street with 50 houses. There is a 1/50 chance it will be my house. If you live in a city with 5 million houses and there are 10 robberies you have a 10/5 000 000 chance of being one of them

Right, now with that aside.

1. For them to get into my house they have to break in.
2. For them to break in they need to pass the alarm, break down burglar bars, Door/Window.
3. Right now if I'm not awake by this time they still need to break the gate leading to the rooms which is away from the stuff they come to get.
4. Now if by some miracle no one in my house is awake yet by this time, the security company will be there already.

Or lets say it's saturday during the day everyone is outside by the pool and they then come in catch us all off guard. I will just let them take what they want and they can even take my cars and drive off. I have no need to try and fight back if I was blindsided.

But sure, you be the scared little one living in your own little hell and captivity. I'm not going to live my life waiting for it to happen to me. I will deal with it if/when it happens.

People don't get killed just for fun There was an interview a few years back with a few convicted highjackers. They said this in one voice, all of them.

"We are scared, frightened as we have no idea what to expect from the people we highjack. Our finger is on the trigger, one uncalled for move and we'll shoot. We are very nervious and jittery"

Be prepaired but don't live life waiting for it to happen to you. Life is to short and the odds of that happening to you is there but it's very very very very unlikely. It's like winning the lotto so to speak

And I still believe, people don't just kill people because they want to. There is a build up of events leading to it happening.

You need to go see a shrink mate You have issues. This crime we have is getting to your soul and you're losing the fight.
