Hi

I've got the 60GB 12 Month promotion on contract which should expire round about this month. What will happen to the sim/account once the promotion expires? If I use the data, will I be charged normal rates? Do i pay a monthly charge now? Or will my sim-card just be killed.

Apologies if this has been asked before, i did search, but came up with nothing.

Thank you in advance.

The sim will be just like any other prepaid sim... You can buy airtime and use out of bundle rates (crazy) or convert airtime to data bundles via the service menu.

I did the balance request on mine and it showed 2048MB free data available. I did not connect though. I am now very worried, AFAIK 2GB of cellc data is now R299. I know normally we are supposed to give one months notice to cancel a contract. I did go to the store and they said that my contract was going to end on 30 November and nothing further to be done, but stupid me did not get a printed confirmation.

I was trying to upgrade to a cellular / tablet contract, and I can't stay on the 2GB package at the current prices.

This would definitely apply if you got the prepaid deal. Not so sure about the contract side...

Ouch, this makes sense. Gonna have to run down to the store and give the notice i guess.

Thanks!

Hi All

Once your contract expires, it moves to a month to month contract like a standard contract.
You have to go in to a store or send a email cancelling it with immediate effect.
